PO551 – POLGES
Polges is a powder calcium hemihydrate made by grinding stone (CaSO4-2H2O) with special features. This is then fired in methane kilns with homogenization at constant temperatures. Used to make plaster products, cornices, rose windows and moulds. Suitable to create mouldings and cofferings made of plaster during installation. It is also used as a basic plaster to create plaster-based pre-mixed products. Slowly and evenly sprinkle the scagliola on the water surface. If it is sprinkled too quickly, thick and dry lumps may form. They are difficult to dissolve even at the subsequent mixing stage. Leave the mix to rest for about 1-2 minutes to ensure water evenly penetrates in the product and remove air bubbles from the mix. After this time, thoroughly mix the product until smooth. Make sure the mixing time is never less than one minute.
